What a coffee flavor-profile quiz asks

September 7, 2026 · Editorial Team

Four choices, one coffee match

A coffee flavor-profile quiz gives you a short way to say what you want to drink. Caskory asks four questions: how much brightness you enjoy, which flavor sounds best, what kind of body you prefer, and whether you want a familiar choice or a surprise.

You do not need to know coffee regions or processing methods before you answer. Choose the option that sounds closest to the cup you want.

Choose your brightness

Brightness is the lively quality that can bring citrus and floral notes forward.

Choose vibrant and sparkling if you enjoy a livelier cup. Choose balanced and gentle if you want sweetness and brightness closer together. Choose mellow and low-acid if you prefer a softer cup.

There is no right answer. Pick the kind of coffee you are most likely to finish.

Pick a flavor family

The quiz offers three flavor directions:

  • Berry and stone fruit
  • Honey and caramel
  • Chocolate and toasted nuts

Start with the words that sound good to you in food and drinks you already enjoy. Fruit can point you toward a brighter, aromatic cup. Honey and caramel can suit someone looking for a softer sweetness. Chocolate and toasted nuts can fit a deeper, richer cup.

Decide how the coffee should feel

Body is the weight and texture of coffee in your mouth.

A light and tea-like coffee can feel clean and delicate. Smooth and silky suits a rounded cup. Full and comforting points toward more weight. Think about whether you want something light, smooth, or substantial when you take a sip.

Say how much discovery you want

The last choice is about familiarity. Pick keep it familiar when you want the kind of cup you already know you enjoy. Pick surprise me when you are open to a different direction.

That answer works alongside the other three. A fruit-led choice can still be familiar, and a cocoa-led choice can still be a new discovery.

Save the result and keep the notes

Answer all four questions before saving. Caskory then saves your flavor profile and coffee match. The Flavor profile page keeps the matched coffee, its style, tasting notes, and the reason it fits your answers together in one place.

Those notes give you something concrete for the next choice. If the match suits you, you know which flavor direction, brightness, and body to look for again. If it does not, change the answer that no longer fits and save a new match.
